Hunter Hayes, the Country Music Association’s choice as the best New Artist of 2012 earned his trophy because of his intense, single-minded dedication to his music.“With me, it’s always going to be music,” he states. “That’s the one thing I know. That is my thing. That is my place. I make music because it’s the only way I can breathe. This is how I want to spend the rest of my life.”
His laser-like focus has resulted in an album that is the talk of the country-music community. He wrote or co-wrote all of the songs on Hunter Hayes. He co-produced it. He sings all the vocals, and he plays all of the 30-some instruments heard on the record. The barn-burning “Storm Warning” became the collection’s debut Gold Single. His gripping ballad “Wanted” soared to No. 1 and is quickly nearing Double Platinum status, lilting, groove-soaked “Somebody’s Heartbreak” has become the album’s third major hit –becoming a Top 30 hit in only two weeks and was most added week of release.
When “Storm Warning” appeared as the debut Hunter Hayes single, Taylor Swift chose him as her opening act. So did Rascal Flatts, to whom Hayes gave his song “Play.” Since the release of Hunter Hayes, the singer-songwriter has embarked on a blitzkrieg of television appearances. He has sung on The Late Show with David Letterman, Good Morning America, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, The Talk, E! News and The Ellen DeGeneres Show. One highlight was his appearance on the ABC-TV special The CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock, performing “Wanted” surrounded by 50,000 fans.
Along the way, he also picked up a Teen Choice Award as the Male Country Artist of the Year, earned a No. 1 video with “Wanted,” won a BMI songwriting award for “Storm Warning” and was a nominee at both the Academy of Country Music Awards and the CMT Music Awards.

The duo's multi-week #1 single, "Cruise," hit the Top 10 just 14 weeks after its release, faster than any debut since Brooks & Dunn’s “Brand New Man.” It's the kind of affirmation few young artists ever experience, and yet was just the cap on a year that saw Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard thrill audiences on tour dates with Alabama, Brantley Gilbert and Jake Owen; cut an EP and their first album HERE’S TO THE GOOD TIMES with producer Joey Moi (Nickelback, Jake Owen) and sign a label deal with Republic Nashville -- after selling nearly 200,000 digital downloads independently. To date, “Cruise,” alone has sold well over one million; reached #1 on the iTunes Country Singles Chart and helped secure them a spot on Luke Bryan’s “DIRT ROAD DIARIES TOUR” in 2013. In April the duo took home Best New Artist at the 2013 ACM Awards and more recently, they were nominated for three 2013 CMT Music Awards, Video of the Year, Duo Video of the Year, and Breakthrough Video of the Year! Results will be released
"Cruise," which Country Weekly called “a hip hop hybrid of crunchy electric guitar riffs, rap lyrics and backwood boondock roots that would make Kid Rock proud and Jason Aldean envious," is the platinum-plated introduction to their debut album. "Cruise" has been Billboard's #1 Hot Country Song since April 20, 2013. Working with Moi, Florida Georgia Line has captured within its 11 songs all the excitement and energy of the live show that launched their reputation.
It’s the work, the life lessons, and the youth and energy they bring to the table that are all part of what they pour out each night on stage and what they've brought to the table with their first album.
"We couldn't be more proud of all the songs on the record," says Tyler. "It's a really exciting time to be able to share our lives through music with our fans."
"Our friends are really excited," adds Brian, "but to them I think we're still just two guys who started out doing music on the back of a tailgate and have been working hard at it and trying to get better. And with the way my parents and Tyler's family have also been so supportive along the way, it's like everybody's success, not just ours." ![]()

Fans of Bridgit Mendler already know she's a terrific singer. After all, the star of the Disney Channel original series "Good Luck Charlie" sings the show’s theme song, and has sung in lead roles of Disney original films like "Lemonade Mouth." But she’s no newcomer. Bridgit has been writing songs since age 6, and in recent years has made songwriting a daily habit. All that discipline paid off because, with her debut Hollywood Records album nearly done and a premiere single set to drop, Bridgit Mendler is about to rock the world with her vocal talent.
And wouldn’t you know it, her debut single is called "Ready or Not." Produced by Emanuel “Eman” Kiriakou and Evan “Kidd” Bogart, and co-written by Bridgit, the single tells a tale of discovering someone special on one special night, but it also sums up Bridgit’s approach to life. "I wanted to write something that was empowering for girls," she says of the track. "I consider myself to have been that girl sitting on the curb waiting for the world to notice."
Bridgit shows a more reflective side on "Love Will Tell Us" and "5:15," an uptempo ballad about waiting for something good to happen in a relationship, though the clock is ticking loudly. "It’s kind of a melancholy song," she says. "It’s the idea that people get stuck in various scenarios. A girl is completely fed up with this guy but ends up making excuses for him." And then there’s "I Forget to Laugh," a contemporary cautionary tale about getting revenge on the guy that crossed her one time too many. That’s not likely to happen in real life. Turns our Bridgit Mendler is one of those stars who really is as kind and personable as she seems.

Intocable (Untouchable) is a Tejano/Norteño musical group from Zapata, Texas that was started by friends Ricky Muñoz and René Martínez in the early 90's.[1] Within a couple years as a band, Intocable had already risen to the top of the Tejano and Norteño fields with a musical signature that had fused Tejano's robust conjunto and Norteño folk rhythms with a pop balladry.[1] Currently, Intocable could very well be the most influential group in Tejano, and their tough Tejano/Norteño fusion has become the blueprint for dozens of Tex-Mex groups. The group's strengths, which include romantic hooky melodies, and tight instrumentation and vocal harmony is consistently being imitated by a list of other Tejano and Norteño groups. This list includes groups such as Imán, Duelo, Costumbre, Solido, Estruendo, Intenso, and Zinzero among others.
Career accomplishments include four consecutive sold-out nights at Mexico City's prestigious Auditorio Nacional and the group's 2003 headlining appearance at Reliant Stadium in Houston, which drew a record 70,104 fans. They also played two sold-out dates at the 10,000-capacity Monterrey Arena in Monterrey, Mexico. It was an unusual accomplishment, given that Norteño groups typically play large dance halls and rarely arenas, unless it's an all day festival event. Intocable has also won at least eight ofUnivision's Premio Lo Nuestro awards, and received their first Grammy win in February 2005 at the 47th Annual Grammys (Grammy Award for Best Mexican/Mexican-American Album Album; Intimamente) and second at the 53rd annual Grammys for their album Classic.
