Derby Dog Dash

Do you have a speedy small dog?
Enter your pup in the Derby Dog Dash this year and get in on all of the racing fun.
If you've never seen the Derby Dog Dash, don't miss it each Sunday during Fair. This beloved event offers all the competition and pageantry of horse racing - on a much smaller scale.

* Championship Heats: 1st Place Prize will be $100, 2nd Place Prize will be $50
* Individual Heats: 1st Place Prize will be $20, 2nd Place Prize will be $20
* Entry will include 2 free passes to the Fair

Hat Day at the Races

Race fans, be sure to mark Saturday, AUGUST 3, on your calendars. Dress up, don your most fashionable hat and come to the track for Hat Day at Wine County Racing. Trackside hors d'oeuvres and wine make this afternoon of elegance even more enjoyable.

Tickets include admission to the Fair, a seat to the races, live auction, hat competition, wine, hor d'oeuvres and a no-host bar. Reserve a table or purchase individual tickets. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Sonoma County Fair Foundation

The Hat Competition will have four categories: Best Fair Theme, Best Wine Country Racing Theme, Best Vintage, and Overall Best of Show. The prizes will include gift certificates from our Hat Day at the Races sponsor.

The ticket price for an individual is $50 per person.
Reserved Tables for 8 are available for $500.

Racing Seminars

Puzzled about picking the ponies? Don’t know a quinella from a trifecta? For those who would like to increase their odds of winning—or just learn more about racing and betting—free racing seminars, sponsored by Sonoma County Airport Express, are offered each race day at 11:30 am in Shade Park. Catch an impressive line-up of celebrity guest speakers who will share their best race tips.

Named Race Opportunity

Name a Race and receive 30 fair admissions and race seats, your name in the race program, your name announced before and after the race, and a photo of 6 of you with the winning horse and jockey! $450 per group, additional racing grandstand seats can be purchase if your group is larger than 30. Box Seats

Box Seats are a favorite way to enjoy all the racing fun at the Fair. These popular packages are good for the duration of the Fair and have limited availability based on returning purchasers from the previous year. Reserved seats for individual days will be available for purchase beginning Saturday, June 1 at the box office and Monday, June 3 online.

Win Without Even Placing a Bet!

Here’s your chance to win at the track without even placing a bet! Look for the Win/Place/Show table as you enter the grandstands, fill out a slip, and put it in the numbered box that matches the horse you think will win that day’s 6th race. You might end up in the Winner’s Circle to claim $150, $100 or $50! (Must be present to collect prize.)
 

VIP Tents

Looking for a great place to hold your company's summer picnic or other special event? Check out our VIP Tent packages! Reserve our VIP tent right next to the racing grandstand and treat your guests to a day at the races. Wine Country Racing is a Sonoma County tradition, drawing trainers, owners, jockeys and racing enthusiasts from all over. With a VIP tent package, you'll receive excellent visibilty for your company, a BBQ lunch, Fair admission and parking. Add-on options are availble. Sliders Gastro Pub & Sports Bar

New this year is Sliders Gastro Pub & Sports Bar, located in Showcase near the Wine Country Racing grandstands. Take a break at the pub featuring Lagunitas Brewing Company's craft beers, a Sonoma Farm to Table menu and Live Sporting Action and Wagering.

Pull up a stool at our 24-tap bar or relax in our Sonoma Chic Lounge & Sports Theater, featuring live music and major sporting events. Stop by and enjoy indoor and outdoor dining areas, large screen TV's, great food and specialty beers.
