Michael, Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon and Action Jackson make up this unstoppable, international rock and roll party machine. The Cheeseballs. The name says it all: groovy, funky danceable fun. The Cheeseballs pride themselves on serving up a helping of non-stop '70s disco, '80s pop classics, hip-hop, rock & current hits with an uncanny knack for performing songs that everyone knows the words to. The result is always an audience dancing and singing along. Thursday, July 29 • 8 p.m.
AC/DShe is the original all-girl AC/DC tribute band doing Bon-era songs. The first of the female tribute band phenomenon, they are committed to staying true to the heart pounding rhythms and high energy presentation of early AC/DC. So if you wanna rock-n-roll, put on your best AC/DC tour shirt and hop on the highway to hell with AC/DShe. Sunday, August 1 • 8 p.m.
Super Diamond has transcended the label of "tribute band" by passionately immersing themselves in Neil Diamond's huge repertoire and delivering a high-octane show of unforgettable classics such as 'Cracklin' Rosie,' 'Sweet Caroline,' 'Forever in Blue Jeans' and many others. Double Funk Crunch is a high-spirited ten-piece group of funksters recovering the lost art of a live funk band. With their authentic reproductions of popular '70s, '80s and popular tunes of today, DFC covers the range from the best classic soul, R & B, disco numbers and unadulterated bumping old school funk combined with today's popular hits. Tuesday, August 3 • 8 p.m.
The Fabulous Bud E. Luv. A long-time favorite in San Francisco, the over-the-top lounge singer is beloved for his hilariously cheesy antics and swingin' renditions of rock and pop hits. Bud E., a singer's singer, will vocally red-carpet glide through such tunes as "She Wore Blue Velvet," "I've Got You Under My Skin," "Light My Fire," "What's New Pussycat," "Kumbuya," and any kind of rock that could use a good flavoring of "lounge." Wednesday, August 4 • 8 p.m.
"A Portrait of Patsy Cline" with Joni Morris. With music, costumes and her top-notch back-up band, After Midnight, Joni Morris re-creates the glory days of country and western legend Patsy Cline. Morris, who has toured nationally for more than a decade, takes the audience back to Cline's heyday of the late '50s and early '60s. Songs include "Walkin' After Midnight," "I Fall to Pieces" and "Crazy." Thursday, August 5 • 8 p.m.
¡Baile Con Nosotros! Local Latino bands take the stage both Friday nights of the Fair; Baile con Grupos, July 30 and Noche de Quebradita (bandas) on August 6. Both shows begin at 7 p.m. Fiesta del Mariachi, on Sunday, August 8, will include mariachi bands and local dancers. The Fiesta starts at 6 p.m.
Steve Baynor's Hypnotist Show is a fast-paced, entertaining blend of comedy and hypnosis that reveals the hidden talents of the audience. Every show is good, clean fun-filled family entertainment at its best! August 3-4-5 • 6 p.m.
Elvis Impersonation. The highlight of Elvis Day at the Fair is the Elvis Impersonation Contest, featuring ten talented singers competing for a $1,500 first prize. Buzzy Martin and the Buzztones is the back-up band for all contestants. August 7 • 8 p.m.
