Sonoma County Fair

2022 Community Performers

You may have seen some of your neighbors on stage at the 2022 Sonoma County Fair. Community dance groups, choirs and more performed throughout the Fair.

Free Family Entertainment

Fairgoers can enjoy free entertainment all day long. On stages around the grounds, you will find lots of tropically-themed fun, including magic, juggling, ventriloquism, performing pets and more! Plan carefully... you won't want to miss a single show! Pick up a daily schedule at the Information Booth when you arrive and decide what you want to see, and when.

Performing Birds & Performing Poodles! (HILLTOP STAGE)

Tropical birds and a dozen pink poodles, all at the same stage, but never at the same time! Head up to the HillTop Stage and see these hard working animals on the job.

  • WILDLIFE WENDY'S Performing Bird Show (Aug.4 to Aug.7)
  • Wildlife Wendy and her tropical birds provide an up-close and personal encounter with the most entertaining species of the bird world. You'll be amazed and laugh out loud at the antics of the talking and singing parrots. And then come the majestic macaws, showing off their incredible physical abilities and lively personalities. Wendy and her birds will only be at the Fair the first four days, so plan to see them early

  • THE CARTOON POODLES Performing Dogs (Aug. 4 to Aug. 14)
  • This team of colorful and playful poodles will fly in the air, dance while wearing glamorous night gowns, and even do a conga line! In their high-energy routines, the poodles seem to have as much fun during their time in the spotlight as audiences have in watching them perform.

    Comedy, Unicycling Magic & Juggling

In keeping with this year's Fair theme, the Family Fun acts will have a tropical feel, so keep your eyes open! Watch the shows on this stage, then you can enjoy a building full of exhibits entered in the Fair by local kids. Everything from LEGOs to sewing projects and decorated cakes to electrical wiring.

  • SCOTTY & TRINK Crazy Circus Jugglers! (Aug.4 to Aug.13)
  • Scotty & Trink are the best juggling duo on the Fair circuit. They have entertained audiences all over the world with their hilarious combination of comedy, juggling, unicycling and audience participation! But best of all, they will make you laugh. As Penn Jillette (the louder half of Penn & Teller) says, they are "wicked funny."

  • MICHAEL STROUD MAGIC Tropical Comedy Magic Show (Aug. 8 to Aug. 12 and Aug. 14)
  • Michael blends comedy, audience participation, circus skills and special effects in every show! He performs amazing acts of mind-reading, and demonstrates incredible card tricks. A master of close-up magic, he may cause borrowed objects to float in the air and coins to turn invisible and reappear right in your own hand.

  • MICHAEL GOUDEAU Comedy, Juggling & More (AUG. 9 to Aug.11)
  • From 1991 until 2010 Michael appeared as the comedy act in the Lance Burton, Master Magician show in Las Vegas. He's done more than 15,000 shows in Vegas and is still performing. Holder of the GUINNESS Book of World Records title for "Most Bites in One Minute While Juggling and Eating Apples."

    Comedy, Ventriloquism

Our youngest fairgoers are invited to visit the Kids Area and join in the fun. In addition to lots of Pirates, Princesses and Mermaids activities, there will be a great show on the Kids Area Stage three times a day.

  • Ventriloquist Steve Chaney, his partner Cornelius Crowe, the magnificent puppet and some of their puppet friends will be presenting three tropical shows a day in the Kids Area. Part of the fun is that you never know who's going to be talking, as this hilarious ventriloquist makes voices come from everyone and everywhere! But be careful if you go to the show. "I laughed so hard I thought my brains fell out," said six-year-old Jason, who watched the show at the Alameda County Fair.
